About Skill
Levels...
Beginner
You are new to beadweaving or jewelrymaking
in general. You have either no experience
beading or have only made a couple of things out
of a magazine or book. Beading is still "new" to
you and you feel lost when reading most patterns
beyond basic stringing.
In
a class setting, you require A
LOT of individual attention from the teacher
and have difficulty keeping up in a fast paced
class.
Intermediate and Intermediate-Advanced
You feel confident about the basic stitches, and you have
accomplished quite a few beadweaving/jewelrymaking
projects. You are able to understand "most"
of the patterns found in magazines and books.
Easy patterns hold little interest and you would
prefer something a little more challenging. You
feel ready to learn beyond the basics!
In
a class setting, you require very little
individual attention from the teacher and you
can keep up with the rest of the class.
Advanced
You have made many MANY pieces and you feel
that you are a "super-experienced" beader. You
know all the ins and outs of the basic stitches
(such as right angle weave, netting, ndebele/herringbone,
peyote stitch, brick stitch, etc...), and can
figure most things out in your head very easily.
You want to spread your wings and truly
challenge your skills.
In
a class setting, you require hardly any personal
attention from the teacher and you prefer to
move at your own pace because the rest of the
class slows you down.
ALL
Whether you are a novice or an accomplished
beader, this level applies to all of you. This
level caters to anyone who wants to make
something pretty and will learn fresh new takes
on a basic beading or wire technique. Very
little or no experience is required.
